GRAMMAR IN USE / Unit 02 Present simple (I do)

Alex는 버스 운전사, 그러나 지금은 침대에서 잠들어 있다. 그는 그는 지금 당장 버스를 운전하고 있지는 않다.

그러나, 그는 버스 운전사. 버스를 운전한다.

→ He drives a bus. He is a bus driver.

 

 

drive(s) / work(s) / do(es) 등 → 단순 현재 시제 (present simple)

 

 

일반적인 상황/것에 대해 이야기 할 때 단순 현재 시제를 사용함

• 매번, 혹은 반복적으로 일어나는 일
• 일반적으로 사실인 일

등에 대해 이야기 할 때!

 

 

주어가 3인칭 단수(he/she/it)이면 동사에 s / es 를 붙여 사용함

• 의문문 ( do/does + 주어 + 동사원형 )

do	I / we / you / they
does	he / she / it

 

• 부정문 ( 주어 + don’t / doesn’t + 동사원형 )

I / we / you / they	don’t
he / she / it	doesn't

 

do 또한 동사 자체로 쓰일 수 있음

(example)

• What do you do?
• He doesn’t do anything to help.

 

행위의 빈도에 대해 이야기 하고 싶을 때도 present simple 시제 사용 가능하다!

• I get up at 8 o’clock every morning.
• How often do you go to the dentist?
• Julie doesn’t drink tea very often.

 

종종 우린 말을 꺼냄으로써 무언가를 할 때가 있음 → ~할 거라고 약속할게. / ~할 것을 제안할게. / ~한 것을 사과할게. 등

(ex)

• I promise I won’t be late.
• What do you suggest I do? → I suggest that you~
• I apologise ~ / I advise ~ / I insist ~ / I agree ~ / I refuse ~
